Welcome To My Web Page

On the 29th and 30th 2000, The Latrobe University ran a program called "The Future Of Australia's Country Towns".

This Web Site is concentrating on the Dynamics of small towns in Australia.Mr Russel Malone spoke on the small town of Boort.

WOOL PROCESSING

I am addressing Boort and Pyramid Hill, there will be a smaller segment on small towns which have no irrigated areas.

Now in the middle of 2005 our wool Market pattern has developed and changed quite considerably.

China, India and Japan are three countries in South East Asia that are developing their internal financial structers, so much so that they are reaching out in trade with many other  countries. Our wool Authorities in Australia are being constantly impressed by China. They say it is an opportune time to strengthen the wool flow.

CHINA AND WOOL FLOW.

If China were willing to take up some equity in a Wool scouring Factory at Pyramid Hill, the current situation is that we have already done a 77 page BUSINESS PLAN based on that area.Within a radius of 200 kilometers of Pyramid Hill and Boort, some of the best  Merino sheep Breeders exist.

Both Scouring and Topmaking have been researched, however a Scouring Factory without Topmaking can occur.

In preparation of the existing Business Plan many Groups of Farmers were contacted and they showed considerable interest in anything that can be done to enhance the wool trade.

That together with the various Wool Authorities in Australia would be strongly supportive of the above scheme.

The Business Plan could be updated to meet the wishes of both the Sheep Farmers and the Countries who are buying most of the Australian wool.

At the moment there is about 150,000,000 sheep in Australia and modern technology of genetic structure and other highly developed Scientific schemes are improving the quality of sheep in Australia.

We are willing to talk and correspond with anyone either in Australia or overseas.

SMALL TOWNS DEVELOPMENT IN AUSTRALIA

So far in Australia too many of our population are living in Capital Cities, consequently they are wasteful of our resources because thet are over crowded.Modern tecnology now lends itself to a bit more decentralisation. If a small town can generate their own electricity with any one of a few renewable energy sources it will be desirable. The generation of electricity with solar tower, wind or any other way with biomass techniques we can add some value to some of our Primary Products everyone will benefit.
